Beer bar HOLBA – opened by Phil Shoenfelt and Southern Cross / GB, CZ /
Everyone who is at least a bit interested in what is happenning on the domestic scene is bound to know the British rocker for years living in Prague, Phil Shoenfelt, who has been a part of it since the mid-90s. In the context of BLUES ALIVE let us remind that he´s going to perform here for the fourth time having made his debut in 2003 as a member of an international band Fatal Shore. For the second time he performed at BLUES ALIVE three years later together with violinist Pavel Cingl and for the third time in 2014 with guitarist David Babka. Paradoxically, as late as this year he is coming with an ensemble which is the most typical for him: his own complete band Southern Cross founded in 1995. Nevertheless, he is going to offer an exceptional programme assembled exclusively for this year´s BLUES ALIVE. It will consist of songs which, in his opinion, are within his work closest to blues and which will be chosen from the repertoire of three bands: besides Southern Cross also Fatal Shore and Dim Locator. With this performance Shoenfelt is going to commemorate his deceased fellow, Australian musician Bruno Adams, who died in 2009.
