Will Johns /GB/
Will Johns is one of the most prominent artists of the British blues scene. His plays the guitar in a modern way but he also respects the rich history of blues. He was teaching how to play the guitar himself from the age of 15, encouraged by his uncle Eric Clapton. John's extended music family also includes his other uncles, Mick Fleetwood and George Harrison. The experience and skills that pass from generation to generation are therefore clearly preserved here . His father, Andy John, was the sound engineer of Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Jethro Tull and others.

He spent some time living in Los Angeles, where he started his band Glyde in 1996. The band released their debut album, playeds concerts in the USA, Ireland, France, Germany and the UK. After returning to Britain he released three solo albums. Will is a highly respected composer, nominated for "Best Song" for the British Blues Awards for three consecutive years (2012-2014). He has fans all over Europe and America. He regularly takes part in prestigious events such as Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival and Cambridge Rock Festival. At the festival concert he will play together with Czech rhythm duo Matěj Černý - bass guitar and Michal Nosek - drums.
