The 26th edition of Blues Alive is over, tickets for 2023 are on sale now

This year's edition brought several successful innovations, but most importantly, once again, a large portion of great blues. We are already announcing the names of the first five performers and opening pre-sale tickets for the 27th edition of Blues Alive, which will take place on November 16-18, 2023.

Blues Alive festival begins in Šumperk

In total, nearly forty music acts will perform at the House of Culture and other venues in Šumperk this year. We also offer a second festival stage called Jam Stage. Concerts will be complemented by a painting exhibition, jam sessions, listening programs, a masterclass by Jontavious Willis and a film screening. The big news is the opening of a permanent exhibition of the Blues Alive Hall of Fame. The festival is sold out, only tickets for the accompanying events are available.

This year’s festival edition includes legends Anthony Geraci and Popa Chubby, Ana Popović and a tribute to singer Etta James

In total, over 35 local and international performers will perform during three days in the House of Culture which this year for the first time will also offer a second festival stage, and at other venues around Šumperk. The concerts will be accompanied by a photography exhibition, jam sessions, listening sessions, masterclasses and film screenings.

The lineup of this year’s Blues Alive is complete

The American singer Sugaray Rayford cancelled part of his European tour (which was to include a performance at Blues Alive), but the good news is that we managed to get not only a star of comparable size, but also one of the great legends of the contemporary blues scene: pianist and singer Anthony Geraci with his band The Boston All-Stars.

This year’s Blues Alive will feature Sugaray Rayford, Carolyn Wonderland and Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio

Joining the previously announced names on the 26th Blues Alive program are one of today's greatest soulblues singers Sugaray Rayford, brilliant guitarist and acclaimed songwriter Carolyn Wonderland, and world-renowned Hammond organist Delvon Lamarr and his trio.
