Accompanying Programme: Blues Alive Is More Than the Main Stage

Join the Mississippi Delta Tour 2026 with Štěpán Suchochleb and Jan Švihálek, who will bring photographs, videos, music and stories from this year’s journey from New Orleans through Mississippi to Memphis. Greg Johnson from the Blues Archive at the University of Mississippi will open the door to the musical history of the Delta and Hill Country, including newly digitised archival recordings.

In the new Talking Blues format, Luther Dickinson will sit down with Petr Vizina for a one-hour conversation about Mississippi, musical tradition, producing and passing the blues on to the next generation. At the Monastery Church, Karel Vepřek, Marie Puttnerová and Wolf Lost In The Poem will perform, while Elvis Presley returns to the big screen in a concert film compiled from archival footage, live performances and backstage moments.
