D. K. Harrell and Layla Musselwhite Join Blues Alive 2026!

D. K. Harrell is widely regarded as one of the greatest talents of his generation. When we saw him close the main stage at the Chicago Blues Festival last June, we immediately knew we had to bring him to Blues Alive as soon as possible. We are thrilled that it worked out at the strongest point of his career so far — at the recent Blues Music Awards ceremony in Memphis, he took home two prestigious awards: Album of the Year and Contemporary Blues Album of the Year.

Layla Musselwhite, carrying one of the most famous names in blues, is a talented Americana artist and a brilliant slide guitarist. She brings fresh energy to the programme and strengthens an exceptionally strong line-up of female artists, which also includes Janiva Magness, Danielle Nicole and Adama Janlo.

From 12 to 14 November, Šumperk will host three days packed with legends, current stars and some of the most exciting new discoveries on today’s blues scene.
